How To Clean Up Epoxy

Easy epoxy resin clean up starts with your prep work. Line your work surface with a vinyl shower curtain or tablecloth and have drop sheets on the ground to keep clean up simple.

Always wear disposable nitrile gloves to protect your hands from a sticky mess, as well as possible skin irritation. Craft Resin does not adhere to plastic so we recommend working with reusable plastic tools such as a spreader, stir stick and mixing container for easy clean up.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE:

Don't ever pour leftover epoxy resin down the drain! Instead, wipe any excess resin from your container and tools with paper towel. Wipe down once more with rubbing alcohol or acetone to remove any resin residue. Next, wash with hot soapy water if desired. Or, simply allow any remaining residue to simply cure right on your plastic tools and peel it off the next day once it has dried.

How to clean cured resin?

Keeping Craft Resin epoxy resin pieces clean is very simple: just treat it like glass. Use a gentle glass cleaner and a soft cloth and polish as you would glass.

How to clean mixing containers?

So, You've resined your artwork, and you have a bit leftover in your mixing container. What do you do with it now?!

Craft Resin has a couple of ways we like to clean out our mixing containers, along with some helpful tips on what to do to make resin clean up quick ... and easy!

How to clean brushes?

Before the resin hardens we recommend wiping the excess resin onto something disposable, like a paper towel. Then while the resin is still liquid, use soap and water to wash off brushes. When the resin hardens it will become very difficult to remove, sometimes you can break the resin off by bending the bristles.
